In addition to double-click to zoom and click-and-drag to reposition, you can turn on other layers by hovering over the HURRICANE tab in the navigation menu and selecting RECON DATA or WIND RADII.

And, be sure to try the FULL SCREEN VIEW by clicking on the four-arrows icon next to "Community".
