WOKQ is looking for outgoing, friendly people to help us be visible at station events, local festivals and anywhere there’s a crowd. We’re looking for motivated promotions assistants who can represent the radio station in an impressive and responsible manner. You’ll gain experience in planning station promotions, make contacts within the local community, and see how a radio station works from an insider’s perspective. Your internship experience will also show you other departments including sales, programming and news and public affairs. You may also be involved in other projects throughout our station cluster.
Availability on weekends is preferred. The internship is not a paid position and lasts for the length of the semester. Applicant must be 18 years of age or older and be enrolled in an accredited academic program.
